Old Scam

Anyone who has bought a car knows this strategy oh-too-well. The sales person tells you that he/she is working for you. It's a guarantee that, once you make an offer, they're plotting how to squeeze more money from you in the manager's office and then the sales person returns with the classic counter offer with the classic line, "I like you and want you to get this car". I think I've heard that one for 20 years now and I still buy it.
