Obama Fan

cam011909_obama_fanCOL.jpgYes, it's true, "Obamamania" has crossed the border into Canada. Canadians, it appears, are fascinated by Barack Obama. No, make that in love with Obama. The fact of the matter is that Barack Obama makes our current politicians look drab. Stephen harper isn't exactly known for his exciting persona and while Michael Ignatieff is probably a good intellectual match for Obama, he's got all the personal warmth of Mr. Spock. So, please excuse us if we gush for a while, America. We haven't been able to gush at anyone since, well, Trudeau. If you want to call that gushing.
