cam040908_olympic_wicksCOL.jpgThe Olympic torch relay is not going exactly to plan. There have been protesters along the way in Europe and one protester in France was able to extinguish the flame using a fire extinguisher. Today the torch heads to San Francisco and the news media is all atwitter about the potential for trouble. In the absence of any real official resistance by either the IOC, or any government, people have taken to the streets in support of Tibet. It's a small gesture and a bit of an embarrassment to China's leadership. Meanwhile, China remains unmoved about human rights. It's going to take a lot more than a fire extinguisher to make them change their ways.
