According to a senior official at Environment Canada, it's been "the winter from hell." Of course, he's referring to Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes. On the other side of the Rockies, namely B.C.'s Fraser Valley, Vancouver and Victoria Island, the cherry trees are already in bloom. The great disparity in climate is great fun for those residing in B.C., as they watch the news reports from their hot tubs amid the scenic hills in North Vancouver. Life just isn't fair.
