Old Liberals

cam121208_old_liberalsCOL.jpgBy now, my distain for the left and for the Liberal Party should be evident. We're talking about a couple of parties that couldn't achieve more just over 100 seats in the last election, compared to the Conservatives' 143, gleefully rubbing their hands together as coconspirators to oust the democratically elected Government.  I watched a NDP spokesperson on TV last week reminding the Liberals about their agreement and warning them not to change their minds. Maybe it was me, but the look on his face could barely contain the joy of the prospect of having his party set the agenda for Canada. You know, the one that got 18 per cent of the vote. This is how we run Democracy in Canada and it's a sweet deal if your 18-per-cent party starts calling the shots for the majority.  The lust for power seems to be like a drug for some. Whatever it takes and whatever the cost, they'd sell out dear old mom for a fix.
