New Puppy

During his victory speech, Barack Obama mentioned that his girls had earned a new puppy. Around the same time I started drawing this cartoon, he started naming his cabinet and so I knew I needed to get this one out as soon as possible. If he had announced an important post for Hillary Clinton before the cartoon was published I would have been looking for something else to draw. So far, so good -- no Hillary Clinton yet. Although I have to admit, I'm curious if and where he'll find a place for the former First Lady. She would have preferred to get back into the White House and I doubt Obama will allow her to get too close. On the other hand, he'll need to offer her something. I'd make her Ambassador to Denmark, or something -- preferably something far away.
