I don't like it when editorial cartoonists draw mean-spirited cartoons that kick someone when they're down and so I generally avoid drawing them myself.
That said, I think it is clear that O.J. Simpson got away with a couple of very grisly, dastardly murders and that his conduct over the years has only solidified speculation of his guilt. His book "If I did it" was a nothing more than a veiled confession and a clear indication that he, in fact, did it.
"In Simpson's hypothetical scenario, he has an unwilling accomplice named "Charlie" who tells Simpson to stop the murders, but Simpson did it anyway." Hmmm, seems a little too obvious to this casual reader.
Added to that, in spite of the fact Simpson was acquitted of the criminal charges due to the "beyond all reasonable doubt" directive, there was enough evidence in a civil suit to support a jury awarding the Goldman family $33.5 million for wrongful death in 1997.
Simpson will never really pay for the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, at least not in this life. That was until Olga put on the rubber gloves.
